Maintenance Engineer
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Maintenance Engineer to provide multi-skilled engineering support within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The role involves delivering planned preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, and reactive repair activities, as well as supporting the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and modification of plant equipment and site utility systems.
Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Shift Pattern: Days (Alternating Early and Late Shifts)
Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance activities on mechanical and electrical production equipment.
- Support installation, commissioning, modification, and optimisation of manufacturing and utility systems.
- Drive continuous improvement projects focused on reliability, efficiency, and performance enhancement.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, health and safety, environmental, and engineering standards.
- Participate in risk assessments and follow safe systems of work, including PUWER and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Support effective shift handovers and provide technical guidance to colleagues when required.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing objectives.

Requirements:

- Previous maintenance engineering experience within a manufacturing environment, ideally pharmaceutical, life sciences, or another highly regulated industry.
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
- Relevant engineering qualification, apprenticeship, or equivalent technical training.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Good IT skills and experience using maintenance management or operational systems.
- Understanding of GMP and regulated manufacturing practices is highly desirable.
