An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Capital, Estates & Facilities Department at Cardiff & Vale University Health Board as a Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical).
The Estates Department currently have three positions to work alongside and support the Estates Operational Teams in the Day to Day Operational Maintenance of the UHB Estate.
One of these roles is dedicated to the Water Safety Team.
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual from a Mechanical engineering/Plumbing background to support the continual service provision of one of the largest Health Boards in Wales.
The department is going through an exciting time of Service Improvement to increase the support and enhance the patient experience ensuring the department is fit for the future.
We are looking to recruit someone who will ensure that we will excel in providing a safe, organised and highly efficient service, a person who can be innovative in their thinking and have the ability to make decisions for themselves, someone who can develop and support the service improvements of the department ensuring we are fit for the future.

Key Responsibilities:
- To maintain DWS along with its associated plant and services in a condition of Compliance through the application of appropriate Planned Preventative Maintenance combined with reactive tasks in accordance with the Cardiff & Vale UHB Water Safety Plan.
Desirable Skills:
- The ability to speak Welsh.

- Training specific to Water Hygiene Compliance will be provided.
