Role Description
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our hotel team in Glasgow. The role will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the property, ensuring all facilities, equipment, and building services are maintained to a high standard.
We are particularly interested in candidates with a strong all-round maintenance background and practical hands-on experience across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems. This role will play an important part in strengthening the hotel’s in-house maintenance capability.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out day-to-day planned and reactive maintenance across the hotel.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and plumbing-related issues.
- Conduct regular inspections of plant, equipment, and building systems.
- Support preventive maintenance programmes to minimise breakdowns and operational disruption.
- Attend to maintenance requests from hotel departments and respond within required timelines.
- Carry out basic repairs and troubleshooting of electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and other hotel equipment.
- Work with external contractors and service providers when specialist support is required.
- Maintain appropriate maintenance records, logs, and documentation.
- Support compliance with health & safety, fire safety, and other relevant statutory requirements.
- Assist with hotel improvement, refurbishment, and maintenance projects as required.
- Ensure maintenance work is carried out safely and in line with company standards.

Requirements
- Proven experience in a hotel, hospitality, or similar maintenance environment.
- Strong practical knowledge across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to carry out both planned and reactive maintenance.
- Good understanding of health & safety requirements.
- Ability to work independently as well as as part of a wider hotel team.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Relevant technical qualification or trade certification would be desirable.
- Hotel maintenance experience would be highly advantageous.
