MAINTENANCE ENGINEER – NIGHTS

Job Title – Maintenance Engineer (Nights)
Location – Sherburn in Elmet, Leeds
Salary – £49,006 (including shift allowance)
Shift – Nights (4 or 5 night patterns available, flexibility on start/finish times)

Job Role of the Maintenance Engineer

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a market-leading manufacturing business known for its innovation and investment in advanced production systems. This site operates to world-class manufacturing standards and offers a stable environment with strong long-term career prospects.

Working as part of the night shift engineering team, you will be responsible for both reactive and planned maintenance, ensuring plant reliability, safety, and product quality across the site. This role requires a strong level of fault finding across both electrical and mechanical systems, supporting high levels of overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Maintenance Engineer

  • Apprentice trained in engineering

Desirable Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer

  • Experience within a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment
  • Welding experience (MIG/TIG) or machine shop exposure (lathes, mills)
  • Strong understanding of continuous improvement and OEE
