Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the performance of our extrusion machinery and plant equipment. Your expertise will ensure smooth operations, minimise downtime, and support continuous improvement initiatives across our manufacturing facility.

Duties

  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on extrusion lines, including single screw extruders and auxiliary equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues using root cause analysis techniques
  • Develop and implement system design modifications to enhance equipment efficiency and reliability
  • Perform repairs or replacements of mechanical components using GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards
  • Collaborate with production teams to minimise downtime during maintenance activities

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in maintenance engineering within a manufacturing environment, preferably in plastics or extrusion industries.
  • Proficiency in root cause analysis methods to identify underlying issues effectively.
  • Familiarity with system design concepts for automation and process improvement.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.
