Rydon Maintenance have an excellent opportunity for Mobile Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Plumbing bias) to join our team. This is a mobile role where you will be maintaining a number of healthcare sites/hospitals.
Rydon Maintenance Ltd provides a range of expert planned and responsive hard facilities management services across the NHS on a unique partnering agreement basis. We look after a growing number of healthcare buildings for NHS Trusts. Using the latest technology we ensure properties are well maintained, efficient and fit for purpose.

Job Purpose
Our NHS maintenance healthcare team provides a planned, preventative and reactive maintenance service for a large NHS trust. To enable us to continue to deliver an excellent quality service, we are looking for a multi skilled maintenance engineer with a plumbing bias to join the team.
This is a varied role where you will undertake scheduled Planned Maintenance (PPM's) and reactive repairs. There will be a particular emphasis on plumbing maintenance and repairs although the role will also involve other general maintenance works. You will be working in a mobile role maintaining a number of healthcare sites so a full UK driving licence is required.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Carry out reactive maintenance on plumbing systems, associated plant and other general building maintenance across the sites.
- Carry out weekly/monthly PPM's such as emergency lighting, water temperature temps, weekly fire alarm testing.
- There will also be some planned maintenance activities such as planned upgrade works and refurbishment as part of our ongoing efforts to ensure a safe environment for service users.
- Use the provided handheld PDA to receive jobs, complete risk assessments, and close jobs in real time.
- Be part of the out of hours call out rota for emergency and make safe repairs (which offers the opportunity to increase your earnings and be involved in additional urgent repairs).

This is a full time permanent position and the core working hours are 40 per week, Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.
Experience Required
The successful candidate will have previous relevant experience in the maintenance of buildings. Your experience will ideally have been gained within an NHS environment, though candidates with maintenance experience gained within other commercial environments (such as hotels, supermarkets, schools etc) will also be considered.

You will have a recognised qualification in Plumbing, have solid Health & Safety awareness and experience of using a handheld device (PDA). You will also have excellent customer service skills and be passionate about providing high quality repairs/planned maintenance.
This is a mobile opportunity (and as such a full driving licence is required).
