About the Role

MGM Muthu Hotels is seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance operations of our hotel property in the UK. The ideal candidate will ensure that all hotel facilities, equipment, and systems are maintained to the highest standards, providing a safe, comfortable, and efficient environment for guests and employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day maintenance operations of the hotel.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all building systems and equipment.
  • Supervise and lead the maintenance team, including contractors and external service providers.
  • Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations, fire safety standards, and statutory requirements.
  • Monitor and maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, kitchen, laundry, and mechanical systems.
  • Coordinate repairs and respond promptly to maintenance requests from hotel departments.
  • Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, including cost control and procurement of materials.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve maintenance issues proactively.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, service logs, and compliance documentation.
  • Support hotel refurbishment and renovation projects as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Facilities Management, or a related field.
  • 5–10 years of experience in hotel maintenance or facilities management, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, MEP services, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and preventive maintenance.
  • Good understanding of UK health & safety regulations and statutory compliance.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and maintenance management systems (CMMS) is preferred.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience in a 4-star or 5-star hotel or resort.
  • Experience managing hotel renovation or refurbishment projects.
  • Knowledge of energy management and sustainability initiatives.
