Role Overview
They are looking for an experienced Night Engineer to join the Engineering team on a permanent night-shift basis. This is a hands-on, multi-skilled engineering position with an electrical bias, supporting the production facility through preventative and corrective maintenance, fault finding and continuous improvement. Working closely with Production, Engineering and other departments, you will play an important role in minimising downtime, improving equipment reliability and ensuring the smooth running of the site. Occasional day, early or late-shift cover may be required for training purposes or to support holiday and absence cover.

Responsibilities
- Carry out preventative maintenance activities to ensure equipment remains safe, reliable and efficient.
- Complete corrective maintenance and respond to engineering issues to minimise production downtime.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults across production equipment.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and recommend changes that could improve equipment reliability, efficiency and machine life.
- Support initiatives aimed at reducing waste and improving production performance.
- Accurately complete documentation relating to preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
- Assist with facilities maintenance and development across the site.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, quality and compliance at all times.
- Support the introduction and use of new technologies and equipment across the manufacturing environment.

Requirements
- Previous experience working as an Engineer within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Multi-skilled engineering background with a strong electrical bias.
- Good electrical fault-finding and maintenance capability.
- Mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Comfortable using an ERP or computerised maintenance system.
- Experience within a GMP, BRC, ISO or similarly regulated environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
