Elevation Recruitment Group are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical / Electrical bias) to join one of our Manufacturing clients in Leeds.

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical / Electrical Bias) – Manufacturing

Leeds | £40,000 - £45,000

Shift: Monday to Friday 6am-3pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across production machinery and site equipment.
  • Respond quickly to breakdowns, diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical and control-system faults to minimise downtime.
  • Fault-find on motors, drives, sensors, control panels, basic PLC systems, pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Complete mechanical maintenance including bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, shafts and other mechanical components.
  • Carry out electrical installation, testing, repair and modification work within level of competence and authorisation.
  • Support the installation, commissioning, relocation and improvement of plant and machinery.
  • Identify recurring faults and contribute to continuous improvement and root-cause solutions to reduce downtime.
  • Work closely with production teams, prioritising maintenance activities, communicating breakdowns and supporting the safe and efficient running of the manufacturing site.

What We’re Looking For:

  • NVQ/ONC Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
  • Strong hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial, production or similarly demanding environment.
  • Able to read electrical drawings and fault-find on industrial machinery
  • High level of fault-finding knowledge
