Talent Guardian is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing FMCG manufacturer in Knighton for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy engineering department within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You'll help keep production and site equipment operating reliably through planned maintenance, effective fault-finding and a rapid response to breakdowns.

What you'll be doing

  • Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across a wide range of production and site equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and complete effective repairs.
  • Respond quickly to breakdowns and minimise production downtime.
  • Work closely with production teams to improve equipment reliability and performance.
  • Support continuous improvement projects across the manufacturing site.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records using the CMMS.
  • Ensure all work complies with site health, safety and engineering procedures.
  • Identify recurring faults and recommend long-term improvements.

What we're looking for

  • A time-served engineer with a minimum Level 3 qualification in an engineering discipline.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance capabilities.
  • Previous engineering experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Confident fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive and hands-on approach to maintenance.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of an engineering team.
  • PLC fault-finding and interrogation experience would be advantageous.
  • Experience within FMCG manufacturing would be beneficial.

Hours

You'll work a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern, rotating between:

  • 6:00am-6:00pm
  • 6:00pm-6:00am

The shift rotates between days and nights every two blocks.
