Are you a Multiskilled Engineer with strong fabrication and welding skills looking for a varied days-based role?
Join a leading manufacturing business in Winsford where you'll play a vital role in maintaining, repairing and improving a diverse range of production machinery and site equipment. Working within an established engineering team, you'll combine your maintenance expertise with fabrication skills to support operational performance, equipment reliability and continuous improvement across the site.
What You'll Be Doing
- Drive Maintenance Excellence: Carry out planned preventative maintenance to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
- Solve Engineering Problems: Diagnose and repair machine faults across the site, delivering effective solutions quickly and safely.
- Lead Fabrication Activities: Complete a range of fabrication work to support maintenance, plant improvements and operational requirements.
- Support Engineering Projects: Assist with machinery installations, upgrades and site improvement initiatives.
- Promote Safe Working: Ensure all equipment remains compliant with health, safety and legal requirements.
- Collaborate Across Departments: Work closely with stores personnel, contractors and colleagues across the business to keep operations running smoothly.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance, reliability and efficiency.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Complete maintenance and breakdown documentation in line with company procedures.

What We're Looking For
- Qualified Engineer: Apprentice trained, ONC qualified or holding an equivalent Multiskilled or Fabrication Engineering qualification.
- Maintenance Experience: Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance activities within a manufacturing environment.
- Fabrication Expertise: Strong practical experience in MIG, TIG and Stick welding.
- Strong Fault-Finding Skills: Proven maintenance background with the ability to diagnose and resolve engineering issues effectively.
- Manufacturing Background: Previous experience working within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong Communicator: Able to build effective working relationships across all levels of the business.
- Positive Team Player: Flexible, proactive and enthusiastic approach with a willingness to learn and adapt.
