Grade:

£33,948.50 to £37,925.12 (depending on experience and knowledge)

Location:

Peterborough

About IPSD

Caterpillar’s Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD) designs, tests and manufactures 0.5 to 18L Cat® and Perkins engines that power over 5000 applications including Marine, Petroleum, Industrial Applications, Electric Generators, and Locomotives. Caterpillar’s company strategy includes sustainability as one of four focus areas and IPSD is engaged and actively preparing green energy solutions for the future.

Job Summary

A vacancy has arisen for a Maintenance facilitator/Co-ordinator within the Machining Maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to work within the maintenance team.

The maintenance department is responsible for improving the uptime of Perkins machinery and equipment, significant investments require a motivated and highly skilled team to maintain and manage this modern equipment as well as improve and maintain the older equipment we have on site.

Following on from the recent re-organisation of the maintenance leadership structure a vacancy for a maintenance facilitator/Co-ordinator has arisen. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to progress their Career.

What You Will Do:

  • Machining Maintenance Agility management and trainer [SME]
  • Machining maintenance training coordinator
  • Machining maintenance generic risk assessments
  • Toolroom PUWER's
  • Weekly Audits of maintenance areas for compliance 5S/DRA/Agility/Maint, processes/waste walk
  • Machining Maintenance Contractor play book, Wans & licences owner
  • Machining Maintenance Company Vans, MWEPS
  • Order spares via Rockwell or OEM
  • Support spares usage tracker
  • Credit card purchases
  • Update Machining Maintenance KPI’s
  • You will be evaluated in line with the below competencies - Building Trust, Customer Focus, Decision Making, Effective Communication, Enterprise Point of View, Focus on Quality, Inclusive Environment, Personal Accountability, Personal Development, Working Safely, Working Together

Skills, experience and qualifications you will have:

  • P.C. literate in Microsoft office software
  • Self-starter and able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Be responsible and accountable for tasks
  • Previous experience in facilitator role
