Maintenance Fitter (Mechanical/Manufacturing)
Ipswich, Suffolk
£35,000 - £38,000 (OTE £46,000) + Overtime + Training + Progression + On-Site Parking
Are you a Maintenance Fitter or similar looking to further your engineering career in a varied role with a well-established company offering ongoing training, career development, and plenty of overtime to boost your earnings? With over 100 years of engineering expertise, this family-run business has been providing electrical and mechanical engineering services to a wide range of manufacturing customers. Due to continued growth, they are looking to expand their friendly engineering team.
In this role, you will carry out electrical and mechanical repairs on motors, pumps, and gearboxes, splitting your time between the workshop (approximately 75%) and customer sites (25%). Your responsibilities will include stripping, fault finding, repairing, rebuilding, and replacing components while working closely with the Workshop Supervisor to source parts. You will work Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm, with a 1-in-7 call-out rota and plenty of overtime available.

The Role:
- Overhaul, rewind, repair, and test motors, pumps, and gearboxes
