Join Farmfield Hospital in Charlwood as a Maintenance Lead
You will play the lead role in creating a well-presented and safe environment for some of the most vulnerable people in society.
You will be the primary person responsible for ensuring the service's facilities are fit for purpose. You will oversee all maintenance, gardening, and audits to identify and repair any faults, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for service users, staff, and visitors.
Working with established site teams, you will lead on all maintenance-related tasks for Farmfield Hospital, managing contractors and coordinating the upkeep of the service. You will be the main point of contact for all maintenance aspects at this location.

As a Maintenance Lead You Will Be
- Being the main responsible person for all maintenance aspects of Farmfield Hospital, ensuring that the buildings, facilities, and equipment are maintained and fit for purpose.
- Utilising strong DIY and practical skills to ensure the safety and comfort of service users is maintained.
- Planning, conducting, and documenting regular safety checks, audits, and maintenance schedules.
- Leading on the repair, maintenance, and decorating of all buildings within Farmfield lodge.
- Liaising with and reporting directly to the Supports Services Manager on all faults, defects, and maintenance plans.
- Coordinating, supervising, and supporting all contractors whilst on site, completing all necessary paperwork and tool checks.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will
- Comply with and support with overseeing all health & safety systems and procedures.
- Have proven experience within a maintenance role, preferably with some supervisory or lead responsibility.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team.
- Show courtesy and respect to residents and colleagues at all times to ensure the highest quality of service.
- Attend and participate in training sessions and staff meetings.
- Be proactive, organised, and able to prioritise a varied workload.
- Support with driving tasks and oversight of staff inductions for the company vehicles.
Where You Will Be Working
Location: Farmfield Drive, Charlwood, Surrey, RH6 0BN
You will be working at Farmfield Hospital, situated next to Gatwick.
You’ll be caring for adult men 18+ who potentially have a forensic background and enduring mental health illnesses such as personality disorder, substance misuse issues, and challenging behaviours.
