About the Role
As a Maintenance Manager in our Care Division, you will be part of a team who help create safe and homely environments for the young people in our residential children's homes.
You and your team will be based at one of our maintenance hubs, where you will be provided with the necessary equipment and support needed to complete your duties. The role will manage maintenance support across a suite of our children’s homes.
Our children's homes are more than just a place to live, they’re a place to learn, explore, and prepare for adulthood. For many of the young people we care for, living at home with their families is not an option. Our homes offer a secure, stable, and caring environment, designed to help them grow and achieve their full potential. Our homes are warm and welcoming, offering personalised bedrooms. decorated with each young person’s favourite colours, themes and belongings. Our compassionate and highly skilled colleagues build strong, trusting relationships with the children in their care, offering empathy, kindness, and patience every step of the way.

Experience Required
- Experience gained within a facilities, operational, trade or maintenance role.
- A relevant Level 3 or equivalent qualification within one of the key electrical, mechanical or building trades with Joint Industries Board (JIB) approved status.
- Health & Safety knowledge including asbestos awareness.
- A full clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the North West Care Maintenance Team and providing effective management to team members per Aspris policies.
- As well as undertaking works yourself, you will also supervise the other team maintenance operative(s).
- Ensuring that the homes are maintained to a high standard.
- Helping and advising site staff in maintaining grounds to a decent standard.
- Coordinating works undertaken by external contractors as necessary.
