Maintenance Manager
We’re looking for a hands-on Maintenance Manager to join Point A Hotel Kensington, someone who gets stuck in, keeps things moving and takes real pride in owning the hotel’s standards from the inside out. You’ll bring the know-how, pace and energy to fix issues fast, spot what needs doing and make sure every space feels safe, sharp and guest-ready, every day.

From planned maintenance to quick fixes and preventing problems before they happen, you’ll take full ownership of the building, the details and the everyday basics that help our guests relax and our teams deliver at their best.

What We Are Looking For
We're looking for a hands-on and values-led with previous proven experience as Maintenance Manager or in a similar leadership role, ideally within hospitality or another customer-facing environment, who takes pride in creating safe, comfortable and welcoming environments for guests and colleagues alike. You'll understand that heartfelt hospitality is felt in every detail, from a well-maintained room to the confidence guests have that everything simply works. As a natural leader, you'll take ownership of day-to-day maintenance operations, leading by example and fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.
You'll be proactive and solution-focused, confidently managing both reactive and planned maintenance, while driving effective preventative maintenance programmes that maintain high standards across guest rooms, public spaces and back-of-house areas.
With strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail, you'll prioritise workloads effectively, ensuring issues are resolved safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption to the guest experience. You'll build positive relationships across departments, collaborate closely with operational teams, and work constructively with contractors and suppliers to deliver compliant, cost-effective solutions.

More About The Role
As Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for the overall upkeep, safety, and functionality of the hotel. Reporting to the Hotel Manager, you will also work closely with the Cluster Maintenance Manager and specialist maintenance teams across the estate.
In this role, you will:
- Take ownership of the building, systems, and overall maintenance strategy.
- Manage both reactive and planned maintenance effectively, ensuring issues are resolved safely, efficiently, and with minimal guest disruption.
- Be competent in using maintenance and compliance systems to accurately track tasks, checks, and completed works.
- Demonstrate good understanding of Health & Safety, with the ability to train and support team members on safe working practices and emergency procedures.
- Lead and coordinate all maintenance activity, including contractor management.
- Manage maintenance requests in collaboration with Front Desk and Housekeeping, ensuring timely resolution.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records using the hotel’s maintenance and compliance systems.
- Balance reactive repairs with a structured preventative maintenance programme.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and fully compliant environment for guests, team members, and visitors.
- Provide flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, with occasional support across the wider hotel cluster.
