What your day will look like?

As Maintenance Manager, you’ll keep the hotel running safely, efficiently and smoothly, leading the Maintenance team and ensuring our building, equipment and facilities are maintained to a high standard.

You’ll

  • Lead, support and develop the Maintenance team, including rostering, training and performance.
  • Oversee planned preventative (PPM) and reactive maintenance, ensuring issues are resolved promptly.
  • Keep hotel areas, plant, equipment and facilities safe and in good working order.
  • Provide hands-on technical support across electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation and general building maintenance.
  • Manage contractors, servicing, inspections and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Champion health and safety, fire safety and environmental standards.
  • Manage maintenance budgets, expenditure, stock and resources effectively.
  • Support CAPEX projects and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Respond to maintenance emergencies and provide out-of-hours support when required.
  • Work closely with other departments to minimise disruption and help deliver a great guest experience.

You’ll be a proactive, hands-on leader with strong technical knowledge and a practical approach to problem-solving.

Ideally, You’ll Have

  • Experience in maintenance, engineering or facilities, ideally within hospitality.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience.
  • Good knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, heating and ventilation systems.
  • Experience with planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
  • A good understanding of health and safety, fire safety, COSHH and statutory compliance.
  • Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant technical qualifications or equivalent practical experience would be an advantage.
  • A flexible approach and the ability to respond confidently to changing priorities and emergencies.
