Raemoir Manor Care Home
Raemoir Manor Care Home is a brand new, purpose-built care home in Banchory, opening in Summer 2026. The home will provide residential, dementia, nursing, and respite care within a modern, well-designed environment, offering a unique opportunity to join a new team and help shape the service from the outset.
Maintenance Manager Contract
- £14.50 per hour
- Contracted to 40 hours per week, working over 5 days with on-call requirements.
- Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract)
Role Overview
Joining a brand new care home from the very beginning offers a genuinely exciting opportunity to help shape the environment, standards, and day-to-day operations as the service develops. As Maintenance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the home is safe, well-maintained, and fully operational while contributing towards a positive and professional environment for residents, visitors, and colleagues.

As Maintenance Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the upkeep, safety, and presentation of the home, ensuring all building systems, equipment, and environments are maintained to a high standard. This is a key leadership role where your organization, technical knowledge, and proactive approach will directly impact safety, compliance, and the daily experience.
You will oversee all maintenance activities across the building and grounds, including planned maintenance, reactive repairs, and improvement projects. You will ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with health and safety and regulatory requirements.
Working closely with the Home Manager and the wider team, you will manage maintenance priorities, coordinate contractors where required, and ensure a well-organized, safe, and fully functional environment at all times.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience in maintenance, facilities, or a similar role
- Experience managing maintenance operations or projects
- Good knowledge of general building, electrical, and repair work
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of health and safety and compliance requirements
- Ability to manage workload, priorities, and external contractors
- A proactive and reliable approach
