The Memoir Club is an independent boutique hotel with 100 bedrooms, large meeting and events space and a full-service restaurant, located in central London.

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team in London. As Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of our facilities, including but not limited to, building maintenance, and health and safety. You will ensure that the Hotel is running smoothly at all times and that all safety standards and regulations are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all Hotel maintenance and repair needs are met promptly and efficiently
  • Manage the safety of the building, including the implementation of safety procedures and regulations
  • Manage and coordinate the activities of the maintenance team
  • Ensure that the Hotel is compliant with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs

Requirements:

  • Extensive general maintenance experience including plumbing and electrical
  • Lead, motivate and monitor a small team to ensure the efficient and safe operation of all plant and equipment
  • Delivery of excellent customer service
  • Have knowledge of and operate hotel security and emergency procedures
  • Proactive, quick thinking and adept at identifying and fixing maintenance issues
  • Build good relationships with contractors and suppliers to ensure the most cost-effective outcomes for the business
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • A team player, working hand in hand with other departments
  • Strong knowledge of safety protocols and regulations
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
