Your focus will be on maximising equipment availability, reducing downtime, improving preventative maintenance and ensuring high standards of safety and compliance. You will also support equipment installations, engineering projects and continuous improvement initiatives as the site continues to develop.
It is a permanent contract, full time from Monday to Friday (day shift).

- Manage day-to-day maintenance activities, balancing planned and urgent work to minimise downtime and support production priorities.
- Deliver the preventative maintenance and asset care programme, ensuring work is completed effectively and on schedule.
- Improve equipment reliability, identifying recurring issues, implementing corrective actions and reducing emergency repair work.
- Provide technical support and direction for equipment breakdowns, troubleshooting and maintenance activities.
- Ensure high standards of Health & Safety and compliance across all engineering and maintenance activities.
- Work closely with Production and other site teams to understand priorities, resolve issues and continuously improve operational performance.
- Support site projects and expansion activities, including equipment installation, upgrades and overhauls.
- Manage contractors, spare parts and the maintenance budget, ensuring resources and expenditure are managed effectively.
- Monitor key maintenance KPIs and maintain accurate technical documentation, maintenance records and equipment information.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
