Maintenance Manager - Stanbrook Abbey Hotel

Location: Worcester, Worcestershire, WR2 4UA

Salary: £40,000 per annum + service charge + excellent colleague benefits

Job Type: Full-time | Permanent | 5 days out of 7

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Maintenance Manager at Stanbrook Abbey Hotel, part of Hand Picked Hotels.


About the Hotel

Set within the majestic surroundings of a former Benedictine monastery, Stanbrook Abbey Hotel is a one-of-a-kind luxury retreat where history, elegance, and outstanding customer service come together. With 70 individually designed bedrooms, a fine dining restaurant, inspiring event spaces, and beautifully landscaped grounds, we offer guests an unforgettable experience steeped in charm and tranquillity.

What You’ll Do

As our Maintenance Manager, you will lead a motivated team dedicated to delivering exceptional service and maintaining the highest standards across the hotel. You will take ownership of all safety, security and compliance requirements, ensuring accurate health and safety records and a consistently well-maintained property.

  • Recruit, train, and develop your team

  • Work effectively under pressure

A solid understanding of stock control, forecasting and budgeting is essential. Most importantly, you will bring enthusiasm, professionalism, and a passion for creating an outstanding guest experience as part of our Hand Picked team.

Are you Hand Picked?

We are looking for proactive and enthusiastic candidates that have a willing attitude and a welcoming and friendly nature. We thrive on excelling together to ensure as a team we deliver service, excellence and consistency, fostering a culture of collaboration, partnership & teamwork.

  • Passion and pride in delivering exceptional, high-quality, personalised service to ensure our guests experiences are memorable
  • Ideally, current hotel Maintenance management experience within a 4 or 5 star luxury hotel; however, previous facility management or trade management experience will be considered
  • Confident with all aspects of the Hotels Maintenance administration, particularly with regards to Health & Safety, as well as having a good all-round knowledge of maintenance, keeping the hotel looking immaculate and in excellent working condition will be your passion and motivation
  • Proven experience of training and coaching colleagues
  • A good understanding of compliance, regulations and reporting of these will be an essential requirement of the role
