About The Role

To provide Electrical and Mechanical maintenance support across site buildings, plant, systems, and equipment. The role is responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient site operations while supporting OCS safety and compliance standards.

Working Hours: 0730-1600 with 30 Minute lunch break

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks across electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of site services, equipment, and infrastructure.
  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs in a timely manner to minimise operational downtime.
  • Assist with minor refurbishment projects, plant installations, and equipment upgrades.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete all required documentation.
  • Comply with all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) policies and procedures.
  • Identify potential risks, defects, and improvement opportunities, reporting them appropriately.
  • Support contractors and specialist service providers when required.
  • Build positive working relationships with customers, colleagues, and site stakeholders.
  • Attend team briefings and customer meetings as required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to improve service delivery and operational performance.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering discipline.
  • Relevant technical qualifications and certifications desirable.

Experience & Knowledge

  • Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance within a facilities management, manufacturing, or engineering environment.
  • Good understanding of electrical and mechanical building services.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and safe systems of work.
  • Experience using maintenance management systems (desirable).

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Organised with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
  • Reliable, proactive, and committed to maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
