At Everyturn Mental Health, we believe safe, well-maintained environments are essential to supporting recovery and delivering high-quality care. We are now looking for a skilled and proactive Maintenance Operative to join our Estates team and help ensure our services are safe, functional, and welcoming for the people who use and work in them.

About The Role

The main purpose of this role is to carry out day-to-day general maintenance across our services, ensuring all buildings are maintained in a safe, efficient, and fully operational condition.

You will play a key role in both planned and reactive maintenance, helping to keep our services running smoothly and responding quickly to issues as they arise.

Please note: Due to the nature of this role, it is essential that you hold a full UK driving license. We do provide a vehicle for work-related travel.

This role is not eligible for sponsorship as it does not meet the requirements as set out by the UK Visa and Immigration Service.

What You'll Do

In this hands-on and varied role, you will:

  • Carry out a range of planned and reactive maintenance tasks, including general building work, basic joinery, basic plumbing, painting and decorating, and external grounds maintenance
  • Complete planned preventative maintenance in line with scheduled programmes
  • Act as a first responder for breakdowns, faults, and maintenance requests
  • Liaise with and coordinate external contractors and suppliers where required
  • Undertake general facilities support tasks, including installation, delivery, and removal of furniture and equipment
  • Carry out inspections, identify and report defects, risks, and maintenance issues
  • Follow Everyturn’s health and safety policies and procedures, including identifying hazards and completing point-of-work risk assessments
  • Communicate effectively with service occupiers to minimize disruption during maintenance activities
  • Support the Estates team with additional duties as required
  • Take part in additional training and development opportunities as needed - there are great training opportunities available!

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
