Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Location: Shipdham, Norfolk
Working Hours: Monday to Friday – 7:30am to 4.00pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Overtime available when required.
Salary: £8.00 to £13.50 per hour, depending on experience.

Within the Falcon Group is Falcon Tower Crane Services, the largest tower crane supplier in the UK and one of the largest in the world with just under 450 tower cranes nationwide. Falcon Power Generation with 400 generators nationwide along with Falcon Freight who operate a fleet of 37 HGV vehicles with a selection of units supporting artic and rigid HIAB cranes.
We are looking for a practical and reliable Depot Grounds & Maintenance Operative to join our Construction and Maintenance Department at our Shipdham Depot.
Comprehensive training, continued professional development, and ongoing support will be provided to help you excel in the role.
The Role – Maintenance Operative
Working as part of the team, you will play an important role in maintaining a clean, tidy and safe environment across the Depot, including the grounds, buildings, entrances, walkways and car parks.

The role will also provide the opportunity to support our Construction Team at a variety of locations, assisting with general labouring, painting, restoration, renovation and maintenance projects.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has a practical approach and is happy to turn their hand to a variety of tasks. The role will involve working outdoors, using a range of hand and power tools, and occasionally travelling to other locations to support the wider business.
You will ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently, following Company policies, procedures, risk assessments, and relevant health & safety requirements.
What We’re Looking For – Maintenance Operative
Essential Experience & Qualifications:
- Practical, hands-on experience within a grounds maintenance, construction, facilities, maintenance or general labouring environment.
- Experience using basic hand and power tools safely.
- Good understanding of maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to other locations when required.
- Fault finding experience.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience – Maintenance Operative
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance, gardening, construction, building maintenance or renovation work.
- Experience operating power tools and carrying out pre-use checks in accordance with PUWER.
- Experience with painting, restoration or general renovation activities.
- Experience carrying out basic building, exterior or window cleaning and maintenance.
