About the Role
A leading premium health and wellness organisation is seeking a Maintenance Operative to help maintain a safe, well-functioning, and welcoming environment across its fitness and leisure facilities.
The role is responsible for ensuring equipment, facilities, and essential systems remain operational, with a strong focus on safety, preventative maintenance, and the overall member experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep across the facility.
- Ensure equipment and building systems remain safe, operational, and well maintained.
- Identify and resolve maintenance issues promptly.
- Support the safe operation of facilities and equipment.
- Carry out basic technical work across areas such as carpentry, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Help maintain a high standard of presentation and functionality across the club.
- Support compliance with health, safety, and operational standards.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to minimise disruption to members.
- Maintain a strong focus on member safety and customer experience.
- Travel between facilities within the region when required.

Requirements
- Practical technical skills or qualifications in a relevant discipline, such as:
- Carpentry
- Plumbing
- Single-phase electrical work
- Pool Plant Operator qualification such as STA or equivalent.
- Full driving licence or the ability to travel efficiently between facilities within the region.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good active-listening skills.
- Reliable, practical, and safety-conscious approach.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider team.
