MAINTENANCE OPERATIVE - 12 MONTHS FIXED TERM CONTRACT

Job Title: Maintenance Operative

Location: Measham

Salary: £35,000

Shift: Monday - Friday days only

Contract: 12 Month Fixed-Term Contract

Job Role of the Maintenance Operative:

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Maintenance Operative to join a busy manufacturing facility in Measham. Working as part of a small combined production and maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, fault-finding and breakdown repairs across a range of automated production machinery.

The role will involve working on both mechanical and electrical systems, supporting the site's zero-tolerance safety culture and continuous improvement programme. You will play an important role in maintaining production output, quality and yield by ensuring machinery is maintained and repaired effectively.

Sector – Factory Maintenance

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Maintenance Operative:

  • Mechanical or Electrical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Time-served apprenticeship or formal qualification within Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with planned, preventative and reactive maintenance within a fast-paced industrial environment.
  • Experience carrying out fault diagnosis and repairs on industrial machinery.

Requirements for the Maintenance Operative:

  • Good working knowledge of automated production equipment
  • Experience working within the UK manufacturing sector
  • Experience within a highly automated manufacturing environment.
  • Competent in fault diagnosis across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience completing TPM/PPM activities.
  • Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental procedures, including LOTOTO.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a small team, using initiative to make decisions when required.
  • Committed to continuous improvement and maintaining high standards of housekeeping and safety.

Desirable Requirements of the Maintenance Operative:

  • Additional training in areas such as Working at Height, Confined Spaces, COSHH or Silica Awareness.
  • Experience operating mobile plant or forklift trucks.
