Role Description The Maintenance Operative role is a full-time, on-site position based in Barnet. The role involves carrying out routine and reactive maintenance tasks, including cleaning internal and external areas, grounds upkeep, and basic building fabric repairs. Day-to-day duties may include:

The Maintenance Operative will follow health and safety procedures, use appropriate tools and equipment, and work both independently and as part of a team to ensure sites remain safe, clean, and compliant. The role may also include occasional interaction with clients or site users to respond to maintenance requests and provide a professional service.
Qualifications
- Experience in facilities maintenance, including cleaning, grounds maintenance, and basic building repairs.
- Ability to use common tools and equipment safely and effectively for minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Knowledge of health and safety practices relevant to maintenance and cleaning activities.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to follow planned schedules and instructions.
- Good communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach when dealing with clients and site users.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and collaborate within a team environment.
- Previous experience in a similar maintenance or facilities role is advantageous.
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel between sites, if required.
