Maintenance/Facilities Operative
Full Driving Licence Essential
Working Hours:
- 5 days per week - Monday to Friday (occasional weekends)
- 8 hours per day
- 40 hours per week
- Start time - 08.00am
Hourly rate - £14.00
Type of cleaning - Maintenance/Facilities
Location: Oakwood Drive, Loughborough Science & Enterprise Park, Loughborough LE11 3QF
Experience:
- Basic practical Knowledge on plumbing, electrical work, and general environmental fabric repairs, general maintenance and fault finding.
- Sound knowledge of alarm systems, mechanical services.

We are looking for a motivated and self-sufficient person with a practical hands-on approach, who will be responsible for keeping the building and its maintenance running efficiently, safely and with minimal disruption.
Key Duties:
- Basic repairs, maintenance, troubleshooting, and general building upkeep.
- Keeping track of maintenance jobs, appointments, contractors and planned work.
- Maintaining excellent punctuality and reliability, completing jobs properly and following through.
- Being able to see something that needs doing and take responsibility for getting it sorted without constant supervision.
- Dealing professionally with office staff, facilities teams, and contractors.
- Arranging maintenance around a busy workplace so that disruption is kept to a minimum.
- Assessing whether to repair, arrange a contractor or escalate.
- Updating the progress and completion of maintenance tasks.
