Position: Maintenance Operative
Location: Newcastle
Working Pattern: Full-Time (Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm)

Key Responsibilities
As a Maintenance Operative, you will play a vital role in the upkeep of our stunning student accommodation scheme. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing day-to-day reactive and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Conducting planned maintenance activities, including fire alarm testing, emergency lighting checks, and water hygiene monitoring.
- Carrying out regular building patrols to identify maintenance needs and health & safety risks.
- Completing scheduled flat inspections and addressing any identified issues promptly.
- Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance activities, including gas safety inspections and PAT testing.
- Ensuring all property documentation files are up-to-date and compliant.
- Adhering to health and safety policies, including managing risk assessments and method statements.
- Engaging with students to understand and address their needs.

Key Requirements
To excel in this role, you should have:
- A relevant qualification in plumbing, joinery, or electrical systems (preferred).
- Previous experience in domestic electrical/plumbing/general maintenance.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to prioritise your own workload effectively.
- A willingness to work collaboratively with the team, including covering reception and admin duties.
