Maintenance Operative
AASC – Nottinghamshire
Full time – 37.5 hours per week.
Salary – £27,500 to £33,500 depending on experience & skills, plus Serco benefits.
Full UK driving licence must be held. Vehicle and tools provided.
Here at Serco, we work with Asylum Accommodation and Support Services to assist individuals through the asylum system, which includes providing them with temporary accommodation.
About the Role
As the Maintenance Operative, your role is key in ensuring all requested repairs, be that reactive or proactive and pre planned (via manager), are carried out to the required standard and within our SLA deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all requested repairs are carried out to the required standard and within SLA deadlines.
- Work independently and as part of a team when necessary.
- Responsible for the Health & Safety of yourself and all users of the property.
- Purchase and manage materials using a company account card from approved Serco suppliers only.
- Inspect and maintain company vehicles in a professional and clean condition.
Flexible Working Pattern
- Mon to Fri 7.5 hours per day between 08:00 and 18:00 to meet the operational needs of the business.

- Requirement to undertake out of hours on call duties, working on a rota basis to ensure 24/7 emergency cover is provided as per contractual responsibilities.
- Out of hours duties carried out once every 8-10 weeks for emergencies.

What You Need To Do The Job
- Willingness and ability to travel within the region and occasionally within the UK (a valid UK driver’s licence is essential).
