We Are Looking for a Maintenance Operative
We are looking for an enthusiastic Maintenance Operative to join our Facilities Management Team. This is a full-time, permanent position working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Your main base will be St James Mill, Carmelite House, however, you will also be required to provide maintenance support across our London Street Store, Letheringsett and Cromer stores, as well as our properties throughout Norwich, when required.

Key Responsibilities:
- Routine maintenance checks, including Legionella testing, smoke alarm testing and fire safety checks
- General building repairs, including minor plumbing, carpentry, basic electrical maintenance (within competence and capability) and decorating
- Assist with general refurbishment projects
- Carry out basic grounds maintenance duties where required (e.g., minor repairs, clearing areas, maintaining external spaces)
- Perform routine inspections to identify maintenance issues and recommend appropriate action
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks, inspections, and repairs completed
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety requirements and company procedures
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a maintenance, facilities, or similar role
- Relevant maintenance qualification desirable
- Health and safety training desirable
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Reliable with a positive approach to work
- Able to work independently and part of a team
