About the Role
Founders House Lifehouse is seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Person to join our Homelessness Services Team in Whitechapel. We provide residential supported accommodation for up to 123 adult men experiencing homelessness, and this role is central to ensuring our service operates safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
The Maintenance Person is responsible for delivering planned and reactive maintenance in line with the annual inspection and planned maintenance reports. You will also carry out day-to-day repairs and respond to emergency maintenance issues, helping to ensure our accommodation remains safe, well-maintained, and welcoming for residents and staff. This is a varied and hands-on role that is essential to the smooth running of our accommodation-based service, ensuring that repairs and maintenance are completed promptly and to a high standard.

To be successful in this role you will;
- Have experience in maintenance, building, or a similar hands-on role
- Be able to manage your workload effectively and respond to emergency repairs
- Work in a trauma-sensitive, strengths-based way, within a psychologically informed environment
- Demonstrate behaviours that reflect our values of integrity, accountability, compassion, passion, respect, and boldness
Appointment will be subject to satisfactory references, a criminal record check (DBS: Enhanced Adult DBS Disclosure) and evidence of your Right to Work in the UK in line with Home Office requirements.
