Vestas is a global leader in sustainable energy solutions, designing, manufacturing, installing, and servicing wind turbines worldwide. Based at our Seaham facility in County Durham, the department is responsible for maintaining specialist equipment used to support the installation and servicing of wind turbines across the UK and Ireland, ensuring the highest standards of safety, reliability, and operational performance.
Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Plan and coordinate preventive maintenance, inspections, calibrations, and statutory compliance activities to ensure equipment reliability and regulatory compliance
- Schedule and manage maintenance work with internal teams and external service providers, ensuring activities are completed safely, efficiently, and on time
- Maintain accurate, traceable maintenance records, certifications, service documentation, and equipment histories in line with compliance requirements
- Support the creation, execution, tracking, and closure of maintenance work orders, maintenance strategies, and asset data within SAP
- Monitor maintenance-related purchase orders, manage tool availability and certification status, and assign tasks to suitably qualified personnel
- Provide stakeholders with maintenance notifications, technical documentation, reporting, and updates on upcoming, due, and overdue activities
- Collaborate with operational, planning, and quality teams to drive continuous improvement, document control, equipment reliability, and overall maintenance performance
Qualifications
- Hold an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or a Diploma in Quality Control or comparable engineering qualification
- Possess a degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, Quality Management, or a related field
- Maintain an ISO 9001 Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor qualification with a strong understanding of quality management systems
- Demonstrate 3 to 5 years of experience within maintenance planning, maintenance coordination, asset management, or quality-focused environments
- Apply strong knowledge of maintenance processes, quality standards, compliance requirements, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Have experience working with maintenance management systems, asset records, documentation control, and regulatory compliance activities
- Exhibit excellent organisational, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities in a technical environment

Competencies
- Demonstrate strong organisational and planning skills with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Effectively manage multiple priorities while coordinating activities across diverse internal and external stakeholders
- Communicate confidently and professionally, building strong working relationships and influencing key stakeholders
- Utilise Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, to analyse data, track performance, and support business reporting
- Apply a strong analytical mindset to identify process improvements, enhance compliance, and drive operational efficiency
- Possess a solid understanding of preventive maintenance, tooling calibrations, decision rules, ISO standards, and maintenance compliance requirements
- Demonstrate experience with SAP or similar CMMS platforms, alongside knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
