Are you ready to take on a new challenge and help us with Maintenance Planning processes in our chemical production plant in Glasgow?
In the role of Maintenance Planner you will be responsible for the efficient planning and scheduling of maintenance work safely ensuring all the correct procedures, materials, tools and equipment are identified and available. You will also ensure that technical specifications are correct and assists reliability engineer and maintenance supervisor in carrying out their respective duties.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure good working conditions and safety standards are maintained within all areas of maintenance operations.
- Ensuring the permit to work system and any other safety system are identified in planning and strictly adhered to.
- Assess risks, carry out Risk Analysis and plan corrective actions as and when required during the planning process.
- Prepares Work Orders for the maintenance department & ensure no work order duplication.
- Coordination and quality assurance of maintenance and servicing work on the site.
- Prepares job plans / method statements, tools, materials and equipment which are necessary in the execution of preventive maintenance and small projects.
- Overlooks the preventative maintenance process by updating and maintaining equipment bill of materials, updating and optimizing equipment PMs with reliability support and preparing work schedules and shifting schedule of Maintenance Technicians.
- Close coordination/communication with other departments to facilitate the maintenance repair and preventive jobs, and coordinates the weekly preventative maintenance schedules.
- Monitor the maintenance and repair based on history records and updates these records, as well as prepares and submits the necessary reports.
- Prepares work list for shutdown planning using MS Project and develops cost estimates for shutdown jobs.
- Prepare the material take off indicating the equipment’s specification, scope of work and scope of supply.
- Prepare necessary drawings and request the necessary spare parts to Purchasing or Stores.
- Conduct meetings with contractors for project orientation, safety, RAMs reviews, project schedule and accomplishment.

Requirements:
- HNC or equivalent craft technical educational background.
- 3-5 years related industry experience.
- Industrial background in chemical, extractive, heavy manufacturing or similar.
- Proficiency in Computer Maintenance Management Systems and MS Project.
- Experience of maintenance operations, shutdown and project planning and scheduling.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A willingness to embrace change in our drive for continued improvement.
