The incumbent is responsible for developing, structuring, and implementing the company's equipment technical and maintenance records. They ensure that all acquired or manufactured equipment is supported by complete documentation, preventive maintenance programs, spare parts lists, and all required information prior to commissioning.

The Maintenance Planner serves as a key liaison between suppliers, manufacturers, operations, procurement, and maintenance teams to ensure a smooth and efficient transition of equipment into service.

What you will do

  • Prepare and maintain equipment technical documentation.
  • Develop preventive maintenance programs and maintenance procedures.
  • Create equipment inspection, maintenance, and transfer checklists.
  • Develop equipment bills of materials (BOMs), identify critical spare parts, and recommend inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with the Procurement team to support supplier and parts sourcing.
  • Support equipment commissioning and ensure compliance with internal standards.
  • Participate in the acceptance of new equipment and coordinate the transfer of information to operations teams.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to maintenance and asset management.

This role could be for you if you have

  • A DEP in Heavy Equipment Mechanics, a DEC in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Electromechanics, or a related field.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance or maintenance planning.
  • Experience working with a CMMS (SAP PM, Maximo, Guide Ti, FSM, or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of mobile, construction, or industrial equipment.
  • The ability to read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical drawings.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance principles and spare parts management.
