About the Role

We have an opportunity for a Maintenance Shift Supervisor to join our Maintenance team at our Leyland production site.

This role leads the shift engineering team to deliver safe, reliable and efficient maintenance support across site operations. You will provide visible leadership on shift, ensuring engineering standards are followed, breakdowns are managed effectively, planned maintenance is completed to the required standard, and temporary repairs are controlled through clear follow-up to permanent resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate shift maintenance activities to support safe, legal and quality-compliant production.
  • Ensure breakdowns, planned maintenance, changeovers and engineering interventions are completed effectively and communicated clearly across shifts.
  • Drive completion of planned maintenance, statutory checks and corrective actions to the required standard, using SAP and agreed maintenance systems accurately.
  • Maintain high basic engineering standards, including housekeeping, tool control, line hand backs, spares usage and follow-up of temporary repairs.
  • Coach, support and hold Multi-Skilled Engineers accountable for safe working, technical standards, work order quality and professional conduct.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
