Job Title: Maintenance Specialist

Location: London & Surrey (projects across both regions) / Family Office

Employment Type: Full-Time

Hours: Monday to Friday – 9am – 6pm (Weekend availability)

Salary: £65,000 per annum plus company van

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Specialist to take responsibility for the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of a property portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of maintenance skills and practical experience, with the ability to identify, troubleshoot and resolve general maintenance requirements efficiently and independently. Where a repair or maintenance requirement falls outside the candidate’s area of expertise or requires a specialist contractor, they will be responsible for identifying the appropriate external specialist, arranging the required work, and overseeing the process through to completion, ensuring that work is carried out to a high standard and within the required timeframe.

Maintenance skills and qualifications:

  • Proven practical skills in areas such as carpentry, decorating, plumbing, repairs, electrical work and more
  • Completing scheduled maintenance tasks, including indoor and outdoor areas
  • Conducting preventative maintenance and identifying when items need upgrading or replacing
  • Liaising with the team to ensure that they complete projects on time
  • Proven experience in maintenance roles
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues at all levels
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Knowledge of how common electrical and mechanical items work and how to repair them

Driver skills and qualifications:

  • Valid driver's licence with experience driving vans
