Home, a place where you belong
As our Maintenance Specification Surveyor, you’ll work closely with the Maintenance Contracts Manager, combining your technical knowledge and practical maintenance experience to create clear, consistent specifications that help colleagues and contractors deliver safe, high-quality work right first time.
You’ll have the scope to shape standards across Home Group, bring maintenance thinking into projects before work starts, and challenge the repeat problems that affect our customers and homes.
What you’ll do
- Review and redesign maintenance specifications to make them clear, consistent, practical and future focused.
- Work in close partnership with the Maintenance Contracts Manager and colleagues across development, delivery and planned maintenance.
- Develop and manage a robust, group-wide library of specifications using NBS Chorus.
- Bring maintenance requirements and lessons learned into new projects, products and delivery models at an earlier stage.
- Champion standardisation that improves quality, compliance, and the customer experience.
- Use your judgement to challenge outdated approaches and recommend better, longer-lasting solutions.
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
