Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Cardiff
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £60,000 + Bonus + Private Medical + Pension + Strong Benefits Package
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a team of multi-skilled maintenance technicians.
- Set the standard for safe working across all maintenance activity.
- Coordinate planned and reactive work with operations and engineering teams.
- Lead breakdown recovery efforts to restore plant operations.
- Apply root cause analysis, FMEA, and RCM to reduce repeat failures.
- Improve equipment uptime, MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures), and MTTR (Mean Time To Repair).
- Resource and deliver shutdown and turnaround work.
- Manage contractors and monitor their performance on site.
- Support capital and asset improvement projects.
- Maintain statutory inspections, workshop, and maintenance documentation.

Requirements

- HNC or above in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Significant maintenance and reliability experience in a large process or manufacturing environment; chemical manufacturing preferred.
- Proven people leadership in a maintenance or engineering setting.
- Hands-on knowledge of rotating and static equipment in a hazardous process environment.
- Strong working knowledge of DSEAR, PUWER, LOLER, COSHH, pressure systems, and permit-to-work.
- Understanding of process safety, including MOC (Management of Change) and mechanical integrity.
- Experience with CMMS and ERP systems.
- NEBOSH General, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, or project management experience preferred.
