Maintenance Supervisor - Wandsworth
Salary
£30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience
Location
Wandsworth, with travel across London
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and growing property maintenance company operating within the social housing sector.
MNM Property Services is looking for an experienced and proactive Maintenance Supervisor to support our Wandsworth area, with travel required across London as part of the role.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, a strong technical understanding of property maintenance, and the ability to manage operatives effectively while maintaining high standards of service delivery, health and safety, and client satisfaction.
What will you be doing?
As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of maintenance works, primarily within the Wandsworth area, while also travelling to other locations across London when required.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring the maintenance contract is operating to its full potential, both operationally and commercially
- Managing operatives and ensuring their working days are utilised efficiently
- Ensuring all operatives comply with MNM's Safe Systems of Work and Health & Safety requirements at all times
- Carrying out regular pre-work, work-in-progress and post-work inspections
- Completing regular vehicle inspections
- Attending client and operational meetings as required
- Troubleshooting and resolving day-to-day operational challenges
- Overseeing jobs that have been escalated by clients, management or the Senior Management Team
- Monitoring workmanship and ensuring works are completed to the required quality standards and within agreed timescales
- Supporting the delivery of excellent customer service to residents and clients

Additional Responsibilities
Other duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Providing technical guidance and support to operatives and administrative staff
- Supporting the training and development of operatives
- Identifying performance or quality issues and working with management to implement appropriate improvements
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar supervisory role, preferably within social housing repairs and maintenance, property maintenance or a specialist contractor environment.
You will be a practical problem solver who is comfortable managing multiple priorities, making decisions independently and taking ownership of tasks through to completion.
You should also have:
- Previous experience supervising maintenance operatives or tradespeople
- A good understanding of Health & Safety requirements and Safe Systems of Work
- Relevant Health & Safety qualifications are desirable but not essential
- Strong technical and trade knowledge
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- The ability to motivate, support and manage others
- The ability to remain calm and effective when working under pressure
- A proactive, self-motivated and task-focused approach
- Good client and customer-facing skills
- A full UK manual driving licence - essential
- Willingness to travel across London as required
