Job Description
Maintenance Supervisor (Mechanical or Electrical) - Continental Shifts
We're looking for experienced and motivated Maintenance Supervisors (Mechanical or Electrical) to join our Maintenance team at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Middlesbrough. Reporting to the Maintenance Lead, you'll play a key role in ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient operation of plant equipment, facilities and production machinery across one of the UK's largest offshore wind manufacturing facilities.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business at the forefront of the renewable energy sector, supporting the manufacture of large-scale offshore wind monopiles and contributing to the UK's clean energy future.
Working on a continental shift pattern of 4 days on (2 days/2 nights) followed by 4 days off, you'll lead and coordinate maintenance activities across the site, ensuring preventative, reactive and corrective maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. You'll work closely with production, engineering, planners, contractors and fellow maintenance supervisors to maximise equipment reliability, reduce downtime and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
This is a full-time permanent position, offering a competitive salary of £26.26 per hour plus 30% continentals shift allowance, 5% company contribution to pension scheme, and Medicash healthcare plan.
The Role

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
