Maintenance Supervisor - Commercial Offices

London | £45,000 + Exceptional Benefits | Permanent

We’re working with a leading operator of high-quality commercial spaces to recruit a Maintenance Supervisor for their London portfolio.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional who enjoys leading a team while remaining hands-on. You’ll supervise a team of Maintenance Operatives, coordinate day-to-day activity and ensure work is completed to a high standard, but this isn’t a desk-based management role – you’ll regularly get involved with maintenance tasks yourself.

The Role

As Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of maintenance across a portfolio of busy commercial buildings. You’ll be the point of escalation for the Maintenance Operatives, helping prioritise workloads, resolve more complex issues and maintain consistently high standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising and supporting a team of Maintenance Operatives
  • Allocating and prioritising planned and reactive maintenance tasks
  • Remaining hands-on with maintenance, repairs and fault finding when required
  • Carrying out regular building and equipment inspections
  • Ensuring PPM schedules are completed effectively and on time
  • Identifying faults and resolving issues before they impact building users
  • Coordinating specialist contractors and external suppliers
  • Monitoring the quality of completed works
  • Supporting compliance and health & safety requirements
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records and reporting
  • Working closely with wider Facilities and Operations teams to ensure buildings remain safe, presentable and fully operational

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You don’t need to be a specialist engineer in every discipline. What’s important is having broad building maintenance knowledge, good judgement and the practical ability to know when something can be resolved internally and when a specialist contractor is required.

You’ll be joining a successful commercial property business with a strong focus on the quality of its buildings and the experience of the people using them. The position offers plenty of autonomy and the opportunity to take ownership of a maintenance team while still keeping the hands-on element of the job.

If you’re currently working within commercial maintenance and are looking for a role where you can lead from the front rather than manage from behind a desk, we’d be keen to hear from you.
