Maintenance Supervisor

Starting Salary £36,178.00

Location Aberdeen

This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy that will close in 21 days at 23:59 BST.

The Vacancy

Main Purpose of Job

To provide support to the Site Operations Manager to ensure safe, cost effective maintenance planning and execution of maintenance to JHL assets and equipment. Schedule and Plan maintenance activities, Management of internal work request system, Generate and issue facilities maintenance plan. Manage teams of skilled and unskilled maintenance operators to deliver all aspects of the maintenance of our facilities. To carry out and oversee all works as required by the schedule of work by internal staff or external contractors. To manage performance of the site teams.

Key Accountabilities

  • Work within the Facilities Team to deliver all elements within the facilities maintenance plan.
  • Deliver on the schedule to ensure maintenance is executed to the highest of standards and delivers asset reliability.
  • Be accountable for managing all works safely and to procedure, ensuring that any work permits are in place. Ensure that the team are well briefed on all safety requirements and make sure that all work is carried out safely.
  • Coordinates maintenance activities and produces agreed plans to procedures in place.
  • Spends time to ensure facilities work is planned and delivered within cost and is value for money maintenance.
  • Deliver agreed Facilities KPI’s.
  • Ensure all assets are maintained to minimum legal and statutory standards and meet insurance requirements, e.g. (lifting equipment, pressure systems and LEV).
  • Be accountable to the site operations manager to deliver day to day facilities activates across the site.
  • Support the delivery and cascade of site objectives to technical team.
  • Participate in training and development of self and facilities team.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with all internal and external site contacts.
  • Support Continuous Improvement plan / activities.
  • Supervise and performance manage technical teams and manage all aspects of performance.
  • Be mobile and spend time on all sites in the cluster.

Knowledge, Skills And Experience

Business Knowledge

  • Skilled with City and Guilds or equivalent in electrical, mechanical, or similar.
  • Engineering HNC preferred.
  • Facilities management experience.
  • Experience of CMMS in particular Maximo and Help Desk Experience.

Key Projects/ Activities Managed

  • Ensure statutory and legal compliance.
  • Define the maintenance plan for site and ensure it is delivered.

Decision Making Authority

  • Award of works to contractors typically up to 10k.
  • Prioritise work coming in FM team ensuring safety and statutory compliance are first.
  • Deciding KPIs to measure performance of help desk.
  • Setting up maintenance and support contracts up to 50K.
