Maintenance Supervisor
Job Title - Maintenance Supervisor (Hands On)
Location - Morden, London
Salary - £46,000 - £55,000 (DOE)
Shift - Monday to Friday - Days - 40 Hours
We're looking for a Maintenance Supervisor with a strong mechanical maintenance background to lead by example in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a predominantly hands-on role, with around 70% of your time spent carrying out maintenance activities and 30% focused on supervising, supporting and developing the engineering team. You'll be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, driving engineering standards and ensuring maximum equipment reliability. While the role is mechanically biased, electrical fault-finding and maintenance experience would be highly advantageous. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to take the next step into leadership, or an established supervisor who still enjoys being on the tools.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
