MNM Property Services is looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our growing team.
We're looking for someone with a strong trade background who knows how maintenance work should be done, can manage a team of operatives and isn't afraid to get involved when things need sorting.
You'll mainly be working across Wandsworth and the surrounding areas, with some travel across London when required.
If you've worked as a chargehand, team leader, supervisor, experienced tradesman or multi-trader and you're ready to take the next step, we'd like to hear from you.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll be responsible for making sure our maintenance teams are getting the job done properly, safely and on time.
Your day-to-day work will include:
- Managing and supporting maintenance operatives and tradesmen
- Planning and allocating work so operatives' time is used effectively
- Visiting properties and checking jobs before, during and after works
- Checking the quality of workmanship and making sure jobs are finished properly
- Carrying out vehicle checks
- Making sure operatives follow our health & safety procedures and Safe Systems of Work
- Helping operatives when they come across problems on site
- Dealing with jobs that have been escalated by clients, management or residents
- Keeping an eye on jobs that are running behind or need additional support
- Attending meetings with clients and the management team when required
- Giving practical advice and technical support to operatives
- Helping train and develop members of the team
- Spotting poor workmanship or performance issues and helping get them resolved
- Making sure residents and clients receive good service

What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone practical, reliable and confident in their trade knowledge.
You don't need to have spent your whole career in management. If you're an experienced tradesman who has started taking responsibility for other people and is ready to move into a supervisory role, we'd still like to hear from you.
Ideally, you'll have:
- Experience supervising tradesmen or maintenance operatives
- A background in property maintenance, repairs, construction or a similar trade
- Good practical and technical knowledge
- The ability to spot when work isn't being done properly and know how to put it right
- A good understanding of health & safety
- The confidence to manage and support a team
- Good communication skills and the ability to deal with clients and residents
- The ability to organise your own day and keep jobs moving
- A practical, hands-on approach to solving problems
- The ability to stay calm when things get busy
- A full UK manual driving licence - essential
- The ability and willingness to travel across London
