Maintenance Team Leader

Rotherham

3 Shift Pattern | Monday - Friday (Mornings, Afternoons & Nights)

Up to £55,000

Our client, a leading manufacturing business based in Rotherham, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Team Leader to join their engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineering leader to take responsibility for driving maintenance performance, leading a skilled team, and ensuring maximum equipment reliability within a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and support a team of multi-skilled maintenance engineers across the shift.
  • Plan and coordinate preventative and reactive maintenance activities to minimise downtime.
  • Provide hands-on support with mechanical and electrical fault finding when required.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve plant reliability and performance.
  • Ensure maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Monitor team performance, allocate workloads and support the development of engineers.
  • Liaise closely with production and other departments to ensure engineering priorities are met.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Maintenance Team Leader, Engineering Supervisor or Senior Maintenance Engineer position.
  • Strong mechanical and/or electrical maintenance background within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop engineering teams.
  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement and maintenance best practices.
  • Willingness to work a rotating three-shift pattern (Monday-Friday).
