Job Description
Position Overview
Performs semi-skilled maintenance and repair services of property or facility systems such as mechanical, electrical, and building systems. Duties may increase in scope as the employee becomes more skilled, but the primary emphasis is the performance of a variety of maintenance tasks rather than a high degree of skill in any particular trade. May be skilled in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, preventative maintenance.
Responsible for maintenance function of their hotel, ensuring an effective and efficient service is delivered at all time. Responsible for the implementation of the maintenance strategy in their hotel. Provide leadership and line management to the team, coordinating and overseeing their workloads.
Main Responsibilities
- Responsible for the implementation of the maintenance programs for their hotels
- Responsible for the reactive and preventive maintenance of the Hotel site, to ensure it remains a functional, pleasant and safe environment for all employees, guests and visitors
- Manage maintenance projects and work in accordance with Accor’s quality requirements
- Perform effective diagnosis of breakdowns and organise a timely repair of equipment
- Perform scheduled planned preventative maintenance to minimise unplanned downtime of equipment and rooms
- Document breakdowns, identifying root causes and bring remedial actions to help prevent recurring issues
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety as well as environmental regulations and procedures
- Undertake risk assessments of processes and tasks as needed and devise and implement safe systems of working to ensure the health and safety of staff, guests and visitors
- Organise and supervise team members in their day to day tasks, providing instructions and support, if needed
- Document and prepare daily progress reports and maintenance logs
- Work with GMs to elaborate maintenance budget and ensure compliance of their hotel
- Liaise and communicate with GMs, Maintenance Managers and/or Cluster Managers
- Manage contractors on site to ensure they meet legal and company requirements
