JOIN TEAM WOTTON
At Wotton House, we do things a little differently.
Set in the beautiful Surrey countryside and surrounded by history, gardens and plenty of character, Wotton House is a hotel where no two days are quite the same. From weddings and celebrations to corporate events and countryside escapes, there is always something happening – and our Maintenance team plays a huge part in keeping everything running smoothly.
We’re welcoming, creative and proudly a little quirky. Our approach is simple: “Yes – what’s the question?” We look for solutions, support one another and aren’t afraid to think differently.
We’re also proud of our Green Key accreditation, our relationships with the local community and our commitment to making more responsible choices.
In short? It’s Wonderfully Wotton.
THE ROLE – MAINTENANCE TEAM MEMBER
We’re looking for a practical, hands-on Maintenance Team Member to join our team and help keep Wotton House looking and working at its best.
This is a varied role where no two days will be the same. One moment you could be helping resolve an issue in a guest bedroom, and the next carrying out routine checks, supporting an event set-up or helping maintain our historic building and grounds.
You’ll work closely with teams across the hotel, responding to maintenance needs and making sure our guests and colleagues have a safe, comfortable and well-maintained environment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
