Maintenance Operative
We’re looking for a hands-on and proactive Maintenance Operative to join our Facilities team.
In this role, you’ll support the Facilities leadership team across all aspects of resort maintenance, helping to keep our spaces safe, functional, and welcoming for guests and team members alike. You’ll carry out both planned and reactive maintenance tasks across the estate, working to current legislative standards.
From painting, replacing door handles and light bulbs to glazing windows, fitting shower doors, applying silicone, and plaster boarding walls, your work will be varied and hands-on. You’ll also help evaluate repairs, manage inventory, and identify opportunities for improvement. At times, you’ll collaborate with internal colleagues and external service providers to get the job done efficiently and professionally.
All tools and equipment required for the role are provided.
This is a five-day role across a seven-day rota, with typical hours of 9:00am to 4:30pm. You’ll also be scheduled for one weekend and one late evening shift (2:30pm to 10:00pm) every seven weeks.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
