We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to join our Team in Middlesbrough.

Duties

• You will be required to carry out engineering activities within the department and work generated by the engineering CMMS in order of priority against criticality.
• You will install/repair/maintain/inspect mechanical/electrical plant, equipment, and services to industry standards.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

• Install, maintain, improve, and repair equipment, plant, services, and building installations to set levels effectively.
• Work in conjunction with operational management and operators.
• Respond to technical issues affecting production.
• Maintain services through Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
• Work under general supervision.
• Attend breakdowns, identify faults, and problem-solve with minimal downtime to production.
• Carry out diagnosis of faults, the maintenance, and repairs to all types of plant and equipment in a safe, timely, and professional manner and return equipment to operational service.
• Estimate the length of time required to complete a job and likely consequences of failure to complete work within required timescales.
• Comply with Permit to work arrangements.
• Identify and escalate any activity that has the potential to cause harm or damage.
• Report breakdown root causes, equipment faults, and concerns to management.
• Ensure all work is undertaken to a high-quality standard and adheres to all quality standard regulations.
• Have an awareness of site policies, procedures, and relevant engineering standards.
